Hajj Dam can be interpreted as a sanction or fine given to someone when they make a mistake when performing the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage. In sharia, dam means slaughtering livestock such as camels, cows or goats to fulfill the pilgrimage rituals.
There are various types of hajj dams, these are adjusted to the reasons that the pilgrims perform. Among them are leaving worship on purpose, carrying out prohibitions during ihram, and experiencing problems while performing the pilgrimage such as being seriously ill.
Of course, the checks or fines given will be different, depending on how much the prohibition is violated by the congregation. Therefore, there are several types of dams that can be classified as follows.

Types of Hajj Dam
In the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI), dam means a fine paid for violating provisions relating to the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage. Meanwhile, dam in the meaning of shari'ah means to drain the blood (slaughter) of certain livestock to fulfill the provisions of the Hajj rituals.
Dams or fines can not only be paid by slaughtering livestock, there are also things that can be done by feeding the poor, giving alms, and paying fidyah by fasting. There are at least 4 categories of Hajj Dam, namely:
1. Order and Destiny
The fine in question is for slaughtering livestock such as goats. However, if the congregation is unable to afford it, they can replace it by fasting for 10 days. The distribution of 10 days of fasting can be done with 3 days of fasting being done during the pilgrimage and the remaining 7 being carried out when you are in your hometown.
However, truFriends don't need to worry if you have certain health conditions and it's not possible to fast. truFriends can replace it by paying as much as 1 mud per day. 1 mud is equivalent to 675 grams. More practically, truFriends can replace it with the staple food that is usually consumed per day.
This type of dam is carried out by pilgrims who have committed minor violations such as:
Not throwing jumrah.
Do not pronounce the intention while doing ihram.
Don't spend the night in Mina and Muzdalifah without reason.
Do not perform Tawaf Wada.
2. Order and Ta'dil
Is a type of dam that is made for husbands and wives who have intimate relations before the initial tahallu in the pilgrimage or before the entire series of Umrah services is completed.
Unlike the previous draft, this fine can be paid by slaughtering a camel. But if you can't, truFriends can replace it with a buffalo or cow and can also be replaced by slaughtering 7 goats.
If it's still too heavy, then truFriends can replace it by fasting as much as the mud count of the food purchased then multiplied by the price of the camel. Dams or fines must be paid immediately after committing this offence, otherwise the Hajj or Umrah pilgrimage will be deemed invalid.
3. Takhyir and Ta'dil
This type of fine must be paid when pilgrims for Umrah or Hajj have killed game animals while in the Holy Land after ihram. This fine also applies to worshipers who cut down or uproot trees, unless they are dry and dead.
This type of fine can be paid in several ways, including:
Slaughter an animal that is comparable to the game animal
Distribute food to the poor in proportion to the price of the game
Fast
4. Takhir and destiny
The last dam is a fine that is imposed as a result of plucking, cutting, and making hair from the limbs. Not only that, this fine also applies to worshipers who wear sewn clothes, hats, paint or cut their nails, and wear perfume.
All of these prohibitions can be paid by carrying out one of the following checkers:
Slaughtered a goat
Give alms to 6 poor people
Fasting for 3 days
