What is the Prophet's Mosque?The Prophet's Mosque is the second holiest place for Muslims after the Grand Mosque in Mecca. This mosque was formerly believed to be the residence of the Prophet Muhammad after moving to Medina in 622 AD. 4. Pole of Abu LubabahThis pillar is called the Abu Lubabah Pole because it was here that Abu Lubabah tied himself up for seven days until Allah SWT accepted his repentance. This is because Abu Lubabah divulged the secrets of the prophet to the Jews.
5. Aisha's PoleOn this pillar, the Prophet Muhammad SAW used to lead the prayer until there was a change of Qibla from the Al-Aqsa Mosque to the Grand Mosque. This mihrab is called Mihrab Nabawi ash-Sharif.
6. Pillar of MukhallaqahThe Mukhallaqah pillar is the pillar attached to the mihrab of the Prophet Muhammad SAW in the Qibla direction.
7. Nabawi MihrabThis is the place where Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz performed his prayers for the first time at a mihrab in 91 H.
8. Ottoman MihrabAs the name implies, Mihrab Ottoman is the place where Caliph Usman bin Affan leads the prayer. Now it is also the place of the Imam of the Prophet's Mosque.
9. Mihrab HanafiMihrab Hanafi is where Imam Hanafi once led the prayers in the Nabawi Mosque. At that time the four priests had different mihrabs when leading the prayers.
10. Midnight MihrabThis is the place where the Prophet Muhammad SAW performed the midnight prayer.
11. PulpitAt the Nabawi Mosque today is the pulpit of Sultan Murad 3 from the Usman dynasty in 998 H.
